quarantine.leeds.ac.uk has been removed
On Monday 1st April 2019, the Sophos Puremessage Quararantine service was discontinued.
This means that some email that was previously quarantined by Puremessage has been passed on to users' mailboxes.
We are currently working with the staff who manage Office365 to reduce this as much as possible.
In the meantime, you can report Phishing, Junk and Abusive email to microsoft.com
Note that all suspect messages must be sent as an attachment - not just copied into the message body.
To report harassment, impersonation, child exploitation, child pornography, or other illegal activities received via an Outlook.com account, forward the offending email as an attachment to abuse@outlook.com. (see Microsoft's Outlook support site)
To submit a junk or phishing scam message to Microsoft, address the message to the Microsoft team that reviews messages, as follows:
For junk messages: junk@office365.microsoft.com
For phishing scam messages: phish@office365.microsoft.com
The suspect message must be sent as an attachment - not just copied into the message body.
For more information see : Microsoft's Outlook phishing / abuse support site) and Microsoft's Outlook spam submitting site
The Client Support Team is looking into making reporting easier by adding these functions into Office365 at Leeds so they can be selected from the menu.
You can still control which emails you see, and delete emails automatically, by using the Rules function within Office 365.
If you had a personal whitelist and/or blacklist set up via quarantine.leeds.ac.uk and wish to have a copy of your whitelisted and/or blacklisted entries, please log a call with our Service Desk via the self-service request form on the IT website (https://leeds.service-now.com/it).
